Algebra - Two step equations
Same as one step equations, we want to get the x by itself.
60 + x10 = 40
Now subtract 60 from the variable side, and then from the other side.
x10 = -20
Now divide x by 10, and then divide -20 by the same.
x = -2
To check the answer, work backwards.
60-2(10) = 40
60 + x10 = 40
Now subtract 60 from the variable side, and then from the other side.
x10 = -20
Now divide x by 10, and then divide -20 by the same.
x = -2
To check the answer, work backwards.
60-2(10) = 40
